The Leopard is known for its lightning-quick reflexes and the speed of its attack. In Gung Fu, the Leopard forms develop the neural impulses that fire from the brain to the muscles.
Speed, strength and strategic footwork are all key elements of the Leopard form, using a narrow stance for quick-shifting attacks with fist and claw.
Like all Gung Fu forms, the emphasis is on defense. Students learn to overwhelm their attackers with a rapid-fire succession of counter strikes.
These counter-strikes stop as quickly as they start, as soon as students can safety step away from their suddenly-stunned attackers.
